TOREX SEMICONDUCTOR LTD. (Tokyo Japan: President, Tomoyuki Fujisaka) has developed the XC9260/XC9261 series of 1.5A Synchronous Step-Down DC/DC Converters with HiSAT-COT, a proprietary high speed transient response technology.

The XC9260/XC9261 series is a synchronous step-down DC/DC converter with 1.5A output, and has incorporated the HiSAT-COT control method, which is an original Torex term for High Speed Transient Response. Compared to standard COT control, this control method has less fluctuation in oscillation frequency against load and input voltage.
The input voltage range is 2.7V to 5.5V, and the output voltage range is 0.8V to 3.6V (accuracy ±2.0%). The current consumption is 15μA (fOSC=1.2MHz). 1.2MHz or 3.0MHz can be selected for the oscillation frequency based on the application.  An operating ambient temperature can range from -40℃ up to +105℃.
As for the operating mode, PWM control (XC9260) or PWM/PFM automatic switching control (XC9261) can be selected. These modes are ideal for mobile and/or digital devices with DDR memories and CPUs.
The soft-start time is set to 0.3ms (TYP.). With the built-in UVLO function, the driver transistor is forced OFF when the input voltage becomes 2.0V or lower. Depending on the application, the SOT-89-5 or the small USP-6C (1.8 x 2.0 x h0.6 mm) package can be selected.  This series is an environment-friendly product that complies with the EU RoHS Directive and is Pb-free.
